The Book on Them!
The Book on Evan
Evan Mills loves comics and wants to be apart of the comic book world. Unable to draw a straight stickman figure, he turned to writing and creating. This has lead to his first and only masterpiece entitled, Apex, a superhero who is nothing like Superman - no matter what anyone else thinks! With completed script for the first explosive issue in hand, all Evan needed was an artist. Since Evan's roommate, Ralph Papas, claims to be an artist and actually owns a sketch pad - no problem, right? Wrong! Since Ralph is the poster child for "laid back", Evan took his "Artist Wanted" sign and hit the streets, or the beach, to be exact. Enter Corinne, an artist who's never heard of a single comic book artist in her life! No problem, right? Right?
The Book on Corinne
Corinne Martin is an artist - a real artist. That is because Evan has "hired" her for his comic book project, thereby establishing her as a real artist in his mind. Corinne has heard of comic books, and knows who "Spider-man" is due to the movies - chagrin! She is an "old woman" in the eyes of her new male friends at twenty-eight - mercy! She lives with her cat, Binks, in a small apartment over a garage, and just for the record, she doesn't look good in leather. The book on Corinne is stability and insight, which she'll need in this group!
The Book on Ralph
Ralph Papas is ... well ... Ralph. Currently working Job #23, Ralph has a little trouble committing. He is Evan's best friend and potentially life-long roommate! He claims to be a starving artist who hasn't any art to his credit - although he does own an empty sketchbook. A bit cantankerous, moody and lazy, Ralph glides through life, getting his only enjoyment from comic books. The book on Ralph is by-the-book; what you see is what you get! If Ralph hates anything, it's change, and everything is always changing! Hence Ralph's gloomy outlook on life.
The Book on Brian
Brian Coeburn is the owner of the local comic book store. He is the voice of reason in the daily lives of his pals, Evan and Ralph. With a business to run, Brian can't afford to keep his head up in the clouds. Keeping his feet in the real world is work enough! He is the family man of the male trio, with a wife and daughter at home, but at work, he's one-of-the-guys and as big a comic book fan as his customers. The book on Brian is cool and collected, with a bit of slyness to keep things interesting.
